Today in class was a productive day.
ELA 4 was introduced to what we did yesterday in class, which is on my blog page yesterday.
Then all classes today went over the narrative writing checklist and created 1-3 specific goals that they needed to work on in their story. They were given feedback forms and a protocol paper to follow for the critique process.
Then they sat in groups of three. Told their partners what their goals were and read no more than two pages to their peers. Their peers were to use the critique form to give tips or suggestions to them to improve their story. Then they rotated around until all had read their story aloud and were given feedback.
Next, they began the work on the forms to improve their story. They were to do this by doing what was given in class yesterday and to what their peers gave them for feedback. This work was to continue over the weekend.
1. Read and record your title, pages and minutes.
2. Revise your story using the goals you created.
Have a great weekend,
