Classwork and Homework

Hi there,
We are back from a long needed vacation. But, we started right in today.
First I handed back your companion book checklist grades.  You taped it in your reading notebook on page 56-Companion Book Checklist.

Next you came to the middle and we talked about leads. Here are the examples I used in class:

6th grade lead examples

Then you went back to your seat to reread your fictional story. Then in your writing notebook on page 42-Leads, you created one lead using one or more of the types of leads, ex. action, description, etc. Be sure you include in your lead the introduction of the character, setting and conflict.

HOMEWORK:
1. Read and record pages, minutes and title.

2. Finish your first lead in your notebook.

Have a great evening,
Mrs. Downs
