Classwork and Homework

Hi Allagash students,
Today in class we talked about how your stories follow the plot line. We watch a video that is below:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reRcVxAWT1g

This is a video called "Snack Attack" and it shows an entire plot line without words.
We talked about the lead and that it includes the hook, the setting, introduction of characters and introduction of the conflict.  Then we talked about the setting and how it needs to be clear about time of year, day, etc, with specific information about the location and the environment surrounding it. Next, we talked about the characters and their internal and external traits/descriptions. Then we talked about the plot parts, the introduction, rising actions, the climax where the character faces the problem and has an "aha" moment. They make a decision about the conflict. Then the falling action of what does the character do next. Lastly, the ending, how is the story resolved.

We also switched our peer editing sheets for each to look at and revise their story.

HOMEWORK:
1. Read and record your title, pages and minutes.

2. Edit and revise your story looking at the parts we discussed today.

Have a great evening,
Mrs. Downs
